Aurora

Aurora Aksnes (born June 15, 1996, from Stavanger) is an Norwegian artist and vocalist. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through the label Decca Records in May 2015 getting great reviews from music bloggers and the media. The singer has released two top-of-the-line covers Half the World Away by Oasis. Oasis for a Christmas advertisement from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry, who endorsed the track Runaway from her side, also gave it some more recognition. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories involve finding a piano hidden in her attic and becoming fascinated with the sounds it produced. Her parents May-Britt and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to study music, not for an occupation or pastime but for growth. She began writing her own songs. Bjork and Leonard Cohen are among her favorite writers. Her mom encouraged her to play her music publicly, not so that she could achieve fame, but rather to let others know how important they are and what they can do for humanity. Her mother suggested that she sing her songs in public so that people can see their own importance and how they can affect the world. It was not until she turned 14 that she told her parents. Aurora did not have a set goal. Aurora is simply a writer who loves writing songs. For her, music is the most efficient method of expressing anything.
